At 19, Jordan George has already impacted hundreds of lives. Described as, “trustworthy,” “caring,” “terrific,” “a leader,” “outstanding,” “dedicated,” and “a great example of how youth philanthropy and service learning can make great leaders in our community.” Jordan has created not one, but two philanthropic projects. The first, “A Teeny Bit of Help” connects teenagers with service opportunities by advertising organizations that need help and creating peer-to-peer service projects. In addition, this initiative coordinated a clothing drive for needy teens and another drive for the Young Women’s Resource Center, as well as collecting materials for “Hope Packs” given to youths going into foster care.
Her second project, “Community Threads,” combines her love fashion with community service. Recently, Jordan sewed hospital gowns and goody bags, filled with crayons, books, and other supplies, for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
